The Executive Chairman of Amuwo Odofin Local Government Area Engr. Valentine Oluwaseyi Buraimoh visited RecyclePoints Collection & SortingHUB (CoSoHUB) in FESTAC town as part of his itinerary to commemorate World Environment Day 5th June, 2019.
The Chairman was conducted round the hub by RecyclePoints Executive Director Mr. Taiwo Adewole. The Chairman was impressed that the RecyclePoints initiative is recovering lots of single-use Plastics which is increasingly becoming a menace in our environment as the resultant flooding that Lagos is experiencing is a a result of clogged drainage channels caused by poor waste disposal practices.
The Amuwo Odofin Chairman was enlightened on how the incentive based program works as subscribers earn points from depositing their recyclables and the points accrued are used to redeem cash and other valuable household items. The Chairman commended the efforts of the RecyclePoints team and pledged to support their programs.
